ALERT: Electric power will be interrupted from 1:00-5:00pm today, December 3

According to an email just transmitted by Village staff, AEP will be interrupting electric power in significant parts of the Village and Township today, December 3, from 1 pm to 5 pm.

Apparently components were stolen from a substation leaving the substation in serious condition. 

Two of the three Village circuits will be impacted including the western and central areas of the Village and Township.  The eastern areas of the Village will not be impacted.  AEP will be contacting residents through a phone blast system with further information. 

1 pm Update:

According to an email sent by Village staff, AEP has notified the Village that AEP should be able to make the necessary repairs with only a 5 - 10 minute outage for most of the Village. Parts of Denison and areas north of Granville High School may be out longer.
