Do You Know Wordle?

According to its website, "Wordle is a toy for generating "word clouds" from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes." The Granville Press has created a "word cloud" of the last few stories.

Jonathan Feinberg, who created Wordle, is a "Senior Software Engineer" at IBM Research, making useful collaborative applications.

What can you do with the images you create with Wordle? According to Feinberg:

"You may take a Wordle, put it on your book cover, your t-shirt, your campaign poster, what have you. You may get rich off it. Just tell people how you made the image, or, if you're using one from the gallery, where you got it."
